MELBOURNE - May 12/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the southeastern Tasman Sea is moving slowly east, maintaining a ridge to northeastern New South Wales. A cold front with and associated low to the south will move across the state during Monday and Tuesday follow by another high pressure ridge developing throughout on Wednesday and Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SundayPatchy light rain developing in the southwest. Isolated showers along the north coast and adjacent eastern ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, ahead of a west to southwesterly change in the west.Monday 13 MayPartly cloudy on the northern and central coasts and adjacent ranges with the chance of showers on the coastal fringe in the far north. Light rain elsewhere. North to northwesterly winds in the east. West to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty in the southeast.Tuesday 14 MayIsolated showers in the northeast and in the southern inland. Mostly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 15 MayIsolated showers in the southern and central inland tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow showers on the Alps above 1500 meters. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Westerly winds.Thursday 16 MayIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges tending scattered on the Alps with snow showers above 1600 metres. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
