Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 11/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure about central parts of the State will move across eastern parts today. A cold front and an upper cold pool will move over the southeast of the State on Monday. An associated slow moving low pressure system will develop over Tasmania later Monday and slowly move to the Tasman Sea by Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayA band of rain with the chance of local thunder moving over central and eastern parts, clearing from the west and easing to patchy rain over the east during the afternoon. Isolated showers to follow about the agricultural area and West Coast district, increasing to scattered showers about south-central and southeastern districts in the afternoon and evening. Warm in the far northeast, cool to mild elsewhere. Light to moderate northeasterly winds in the far northeast shifting south to southwesterly later, moderate southwesterly winds over the remainder, fresh near the coast.Monday 13 MayPatchy rain in the far northeast, clearing during the afternoon. Isolated showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, increasing to scattered over the southern agricultural area east of Eyre Peninsula. The chance of isolated hail and thunder south of about Adelaide. Cold in the southeast, cool elsewhere. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, strong about southeastern coasts.Tuesday 14 MayScattered showers over the southern agricultural area, isolated showers over the northern agricultural area, far south of the pastoral districts and the West Coast district. Cold in the southeast, cool elsewhere. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.Wednesday 15 MayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, far south of the pastoral districts and the West Coast district, scattered about the southern agricultural area until mid afternoon. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwesterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm over the northern agricultural area, west coast and central parts of the pastorals. 15 to 25 mm over the southern agricultural area, reaching 20 to 30 mm about southern coasts and ranges. Less than 5 mm elsewhere.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, clearing by Saturday.
