Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 11/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will move slowly east during the next couple of days, maintaining a ridge over eastern New South Wales. As the ridge weakens a cold front will move across the state during Monday and Tuesday. Another high pressure ridge is expected to develop behind the front during Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers along the northern half of the coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds.Sunday 12 MayPatchy light rain developing in the southwest.. Isolated showers along the north coast and adjacent eastern ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, ahead of a west to southwesterly change in the west.Monday 13 MayPartly cloudy on the northern and central coasts and adjacent ranges with the chance of showers on the coastal fringe in the far north. Light rain elsewhere. North to northwesterly winds in the east. West to southwesterly winds in the west.Tuesday 14 MayIsolated showers in the northeast and in the southern inland. Mostly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 15 MayIsolated showers in the southern and central inland tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Snow showers on the Alps above 1500 meters. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Westerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Sunday.Product IDN10031
