moderate SE to NE winds over the interior.

The high should slowly move southeast through the Tasman Sea whilst
maintaining the ridge of high pressure about the east coast of Queensland, and
the upper level trough should move off the southeast coast. Fresh to strong SE
winds and mainly scattered showers should continue about most of the east coast,
and more isolated showers are expected over the far eastern interior. Fine and

The high should move a little towards New Zealand and the ridge should also
weaken along the east coast of Queensland. Mainly isolated showers about the
east coast, and more widespread about the north tropical coast. The chance of
some early isolated showers about the southwest Gulf of Carpentaria coast. A new
SW'ly wind change or trough will enter the Channel Country with patchy light
rain developing.
Forecast for Monday
The high should weaken near New Zealand along with the ridge of high pressure
along Queensland's east coast. Mainly isolated showers about Queensland's far
east, and also developing over the northern and central interior ahead of a
surface trough. Cooler about the far southwest of the state and areas of patchy
light rain.
Forecast for Tuesday
A new high in the Great Australian Bight will push dry and cool westerly
winds further across Queensland's western districts and through the central
interior. Mainly isolated showers over the eastern districts and areas of
patchy, mainly light rain over the southern interior and the state's southeast.
Fine, dry and mostly sunny over the rest of the state.
Outlook for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

most of the southern half of the state from Wednesday, resulting in areas of
morning frost about the southeast and southern interior. Fine and mostly sunny
over the interior, and just isolated showers about parts of the east coast.
