MELBOURNE - May 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough of low pressure is moving across the far west of the State today, the remainder of the west on Saturday and eastern parts on Sunday. A cold front and an upper cold pool will move over the southeast of the State on Monday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers and thunder over the far west. Warm with moderate to fresh northerly winds, turning moderate southerly in the far west.Saturday 11 MayA band of rain of rain and isolated thunder extending across the west to reach a line Oodnadatta to Murray Bridge around midnight. Isolated thunder in the far west. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler moderate southwest to southerly change extending to central parts of the State late evening.Sunday 12 MayA band of rain moving over central and eastern parts, easing to patchy rain over the east during the afternoon. Isolated showers to follow about the agricultural area and west coast, increasing to scattered about central districts in the evening. Possible isolated showers over the Northwest Pastoral.Warm in the far northeast, cool to mild elsewhere. Light to moderate northeasterly winds in the far northeast, moderate southwest winds over the remainder, fresh near the coast.Monday 13 MayPatchy rain in the far northeast, clearing during the afternoon. Isolated showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, increasing to scattered over central and eastern parts. Cold in the southeast, cool elsewhere. Moderate to fresh south to southwest winds, strong about southern coasts.Tuesday 14 MayIsolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast, scattered about southern coasts and ranges. Isolated showers contracting to coasts on Thursday. Cool, tending mild in the northeast. Moderate to fresh west to southwest winds, tending light to moderate northerly in the north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm, reaching 15 to 25 mm about southern coasts and ranges.
