Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 9/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will move slowly east during the next few days, maintaining a ridge over eastern New South Wales. A low pressure trough is expected to move across the state early next week.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers along the north coast, contracting to the coastal fringe this evening. Fine and mostly clear elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds, west to northwesterly winds in the southeast.Friday 10 MayEarly frost patches on the ranges and areas of morning fog in the east. Isolated showers on the north coast and adjacent eastern ranges. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds, tending southwest to southeasterly near the coast.Saturday 11 MayEarly frost patches on the ranges and areas of morning fog in the east. Isolated showers along the central and north coast, clearing from the south. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds.Sunday 12 MayPatchy morning fog in the east. Patchy light rain developing in the southwest, more likely near the Victorian border. Isolated showers along the northern and central coast and adjacent eastern ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northeasterly winds, ahead of a west to southwesterly change in the west.Monday 13 MayPatchy rain in the south and west, more likely over the southwestern slopes. Fine and mostly cloudy elsewhere. North to northeasterly winds in the east. West to southwesterly winds in the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Friday.Product IDN10031
