MELBOURNE - May 7/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation An upper level trough over Victoria will move across the northeast of the State Wednesday morning. A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea east of Tasmania will be slow moving until Thursday. It will then weaken as it moves north ahead of a cold front that will move from the Southern Ocean across Tasmania to the Tasman Sea. Another high will follow the front and move to the southern Tasman Sea on Friday. The next cold front will likely cross the Bight on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers over central and eastern districts contracting to the northeast tonight. Partly cloudy with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Wednesday 8 MayIsolated morning showers over the northeast, otherwise dry. A mild and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Thursday 9 MayEarly fog patches over the northeast. Otherwise a dry, mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light to moderate north to northwesterly winds tending west to southwesterly over Gippsland later in the day.Friday 10 MayEarly fog patches over the east. Otherwise a dry, mild to warm day with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds and some high cloud about.Saturday 11 MayEarly fog patches over Gippsland. A dry, mild to warm day with high cloud increasing from the west.
