Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 7/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred over the southern Tasman Sea will remain near stationary for the remainder of the week. A low pressure trough will move into the far west of the State later in the week.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northeast to northerly winds.Wednesday 8 MayDry. Warm to hot. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, strengthening in the west with possible areas of raised dust.Thursday 9 MayDry. Warm to hot. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, strong at times in the west with possible areas of raised dust.Friday 10 MayDry. Warm to hot. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, strong at times over western and central districts with possible areas of raised dust.Saturday 11 MayAreas of rain extending across western parts of the State reaching a line about Coober Pedy to Port Augusta to Bordertown by the end of the day. Warm to hot with fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwest to southerly change moving across western and central parts of South Australia reaching about Leigh Creek to Bordertown late evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon through to midnight Friday will be nil. Rainfall totals for Saturday are expected to be up to 5 mm west of Coober Pedy to Port Augusta to Bordertown, increasing to 5 to 15 mm west of about Tarcoola to Wudinna to Kingscote.Sunday until TuesdayAreas of rain moving over central and eastern parts overnight Saturday and on Sunday before clearing to the east Sunday afternoon. Isolated showers persisting about coastal districts following the band of rain. Cooler southwest to southerly winds extending throughout early next week.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
