Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Tasmania will move slowly east during the next few days, maintaining a ridge over eastern New South Wales. A weak trough over the state's west may bring a light shower or two to some areas with the chance of isolated thunderstorms in the northwestern inland Tuesday afternoon, while onshore winds deliver a few coastal showers. Aside from this, generally dry weather will prevail this week under the influence of the high, with daytime temperatures on the rise.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayEarly frost patches on the ranges, mostly in the south, and areas of morning fog in parts of the east. Isolated showers along the coast, chiefly in the north. Isolated showers over parts of the western inland, with the chance of thunderstorms in the northern inland. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 8 MayEarly fog areas in the east. Isolated showers along the northern coast and adjacent ranges, and possibly about the central coast. The chance of showers over parts of the central inland, otherwise fine and partly cloudy. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 9 MayMorning fog areas in the east and on the western slopes. Isolated showers along the north coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Friday 10 MayIsolated showers on the coast and adjacent eastern ranges from the Illawarra northwards. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere.
