Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over Tasmania will move eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday then remain near stationary for the remainder of the week. An upper level disturbance will slowly move across the southeast of the State this evening and overnight.
Forecast for the rest of MondayCloudy periods over central and eastern parts with possible isolated showers clearing to east of the ranges this evening. Possible fog developing over Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island late this evening. Becoming cool to mild overnight. Light to moderate northeasterly winds, turning south to southeasterly in the west.Tuesday 7 MayPossible isolated showers and thunder east of the Mount Lofty Ranges, clearing during the morning. Early morning areas of fog, mainly west of about Ceduna. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northeast to northerly winds.Wednesday 8 MayFine. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, strong at times in the west.Thursday 9 MayFine apart from possible isolated showers developing west of about Fowlers Bay later in the day. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds, strong at times in the west.Friday 10 MayFine apart from isolated showers west of about Fowlers Bay. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northeast to northerly winds, strong at times in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon until midnight Friday are expected to be mostly less than 2 mm.Saturday until MondayPatchy rain extending across western parts of the State on Saturday, then moving to central and eastern parts overnight Saturday and on Sunday before clearing to the east later Sunday. Isolated showers following the band of patchy rain about coastal districts. Warm to hot with fresh to strong northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwest to southerly change during the weekend.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
