Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 3/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
The combination of a cold front in the Tasman sea and a high pressure system over waters south of the Bight are producing southwesterly airstream over Victoria. The high will drift over Tasmania during Sunday and Monday and will reach the Tasman Sea on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts contracting to the Gippsland coast during the morning. Cool and partly cloudy in the south, mild and mainly sunny in the north. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds strong at times about the Central and Gippsland coasts.Sunday 5 MayFine apart from isolated showers near the coast during the morning. Early frost then a cool to mild day with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.Monday 6 MayFine. Early frost then a cool to mild day with light southeast to easterly winds.Tuesday 7 MayFine. A mild and mainly sunny day with a light wind tending north to northeasterly.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
