Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 3/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge lies over the New South Wales coast with a cold front moving through the Bight. This front will bring a gusty southwest to southerly winds to southern NSW during Saturday. It will also bring isolated showers to the southern ranges early in the morning. Following this change a high pressure ridge is forecast to move over southeastern Australia and should extend a ridge along the NSW coast on Sunday and Monday, with cold nights and fine days expected from Sunday through into the middle of next week for the majority of the state.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPartly cloudy in the far south, mostly clear remainder. Generally light and variable winds, becoming north to northwesterly across the south.Saturday 4 MayMorning fog patches about the coast and tablelands, and early frosts about higher ground. Isolated showers about the south coast and the southern ranges, clearing during the morning. The chance of a shower or two later in the day along the coastal fringe of the Mid North Coast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Freshening westerly winds in southern parts tending southerly later. Lighter winds in the north.Sunday 5 MayWidespread morning frosts along the ranges, Central and South Western Slopes and the Riverina district. Isolated showers along the coastal fringe north of about Forster. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southeast winds, fresh about parts of the coast.Monday 6 MayWidespread morning frosts along the ranges, Central and South Western Slopes and in the eastern Riverina district. Isolated showers along the coastal fringe north of about The Entrance. Mostly sunny elsewhere. East to southeast winds inland. South to southeast winds on the coast.Tuesday 7 MayMorning frosts along the ranges. Isolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges north of about Ulladulla, and over the North West Slopes.
