Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 3/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak cold front near Ceduna will extend northeastwards, reaching a line Mount Gambier to Tarcoola late evening, then move over the south of the Pastoral districts and dissipate on Saturday. A high pressure system will move eastwards over waters to the south of the State during the weekend and be centred over the Tasman Sea on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers and the chance of thunder over southern coasts and the South East district. Showers tending scattered over the Lower South East in the evening. Warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and west. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, ahead of a milder, moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change about western and southern coasts.Saturday 4 MayPossible isolated morning showers over the southern agricultural area, then fine. Early fog patches over the northern agricultural area and west coast. Cool in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate southeast winds, fresh about southern coasts, tending light northeast to northerly in the north.Sunday 5 MayFine apart from early frost patches in the Lower South East. Cool near southern coasts grading to warm in the north with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Monday 6 MayFine apart from early frost patches in the South East district. A mild day in the south, warm in the north. Light to moderate northeast winds.Tuesday 7 MayFine and warm with moderate to fresh northerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon until midnight Tuesday are expected to be up to 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm over the Lower South East.Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers developing in the far west on Wednesday, gradually extending to a line Ernabella to Yunta by Friday evening and clearing from the southwest. Warm to hot with fresh northerly winds, ahead of a milder westerly change across the west and south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
