Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 1/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front moving through the state will bring a cooler southerly change to northeast parts of the state during Thursday. A high pressure system near the South Australian border will strengthen before moving across New South Wales during today and tomorrow. Another southerly change is expected to move across southern and central New South Wales during Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayEarly fog and frost patches about the southern ranges and slopes. Fog patches in the northeast. Isolated coastal showers in the east, contracting to the northern coast during the day, possibly reaching eastern parts of the northern ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to southwesterly winds extending throughout, fresh and gusty about the north coast.Friday 3 MayMorning fog patches about the coast and tablelands, and early frosts about the southern highlands. The chance of showers over the northern coast, easing. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Generally light and variable winds, becoming north to northwesterly across the south.Saturday 4 MayMorning fog patches about the coast and tablelands, and early frosts about higher ground. Isolated showers about the south coast and the southern alps. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Light and variable winds inland, and a fresh southerly change developing along the coast.Sunday 5 MayMorning fog patches about the tablelands, and early frosts about higher ground. The chance of showers about the south and the east. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Light to moderate north to northeasterly winds inland. Fresh east to southeasterly winds along the coast, becoming northeasterly during the afternoon.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Thursday.Product IDN10031
