MELBOURNE - Apr 29/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over Victoria extends a ridge across southern Australia. A weak trough will pass over the southeast on Wednesday. A high will develop over the Bight on Wednesday following the trough, then move eastwards to be over Victoria on Thursday then the Tasman Sea on the weekend. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayCloudy over the agricultural area and far southern Pastoral districts with some patchy light rain clearing to the east during the afternoon. Patchy light rain re-developing over western and northern central districts during the afternoon and evening. Possible isolated morning thunderstorms in the West Coast district. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 1 MayIsolated showers about southern coasts. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds turning easterly later in the day.Thursday 2 MayFine apart from possible early morning fog or frost over the South East district. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the north with moderate east to northeasterly winds.Friday 3 MayFine apart from some possible early morning frost over eastern districts. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the far north. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning until midnight Friday are expected to be mostly less than 2 mm, with isolated fall of 2 to 5 mm possible about northern agricultural areas this afternoon and about southern coasts on Wednesday.Saturday until MondayFine with warmer northerly winds at first ahead of cooler southwesterly change in the west Saturday afternoon extending across the State on Sunday.
