Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 29/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies across the northern Tasman Sea, and another south of the Bight. Between these systems, a broad trough of low pressure extends from central Australia to the southern Tasman sea. This trough is expected to remain over New South Wales during Tuesday, bringing a little patchy rain to southern districts. During Wednesday, a cold front from the Southern Ocean is forecast to move pass over the state, assisted by the strengthening high to the west. This will bring cooler conditions, with precipitation contracting to areas near the coast.
Forecast for the rest of MondayPatchy light rain in the south, mainly near the Victorian border. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 30 AprilCloudy with patchy light rain across the southern half of the state, mainly in the southeast near the Victorian border. Morning fog patches about the central/northern coast and tablelands. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 1 MayIsolated showers in the southeast, tending scattered near the coast. The chance of showers in the southwest. Morning fog patches about the central/northern coast and tablelands. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 2 MayIsolated showers in the east, contracting to the northern coast during the day. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to southwesterly winds.Friday 3 MayEarly frost patches about the southern tablelands. Isolated showers over the northern coast, easing. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere.
