Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 29/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high south of the Bight extends a ridge of high pressure across southern Australia, which will remain near-stationary for the next few days. A weak trough will pass over the southeast on Wednesday. The high will follow this trough to be over Victoria on Thursday, then over the Tasman Sea on the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of MondayCloudy with patchy rain across the northern agricultural area and southern Pastoral districts, easing this evening. Isolated showers about the Lower South East and Kangaroo Island. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Mostly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 30 AprilCloudy over the northern agricultural area and far southern Pastoral districts with some patchy light morning rain clearing to the east. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 1 MayIsolated showers about southern coasts. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds turning easterly later in the day.Thursday 2 MayFine apart from possible early morning fog or frost over the South East district. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the north with moderate east to northeasterly winds.Friday 3 MayFine apart from some possible early morning frost over eastern districts. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the far north. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon until midnight Friday are expected to be mostly less than 2 mm, with isolated fall of 2 to 5 mm possible about northern agricultural areas this afternoon and about southern coasts on Wednesday.Saturday until MondayFine with warmer northerly winds at first ahead of cooler southwesterly change in the west Saturday afternoon extending across the State on Sunday. Isolated showers developing over agricultural and southern pastoral areas during Sunday and Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
