Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure ridge lies across the Tasman Sea with cold fronts passing to the south. The ridge is expected to remain the dominant synoptic feature over central and northern New South Wales over the next few days. A weak front passing over southern NSW is bringing an increase in cloud and some light rain to southern areas during Monday and Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayCloudy in the south with patchy light rain, more widespread closer to the Victorian border. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds.Tuesday 30 AprilCloudy with patchy light rain the south, more widespread in the southeast closer to the Victorian border. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to southeast winds.Wednesday 1 MayIsolated showers in the southeast, more widespread closer to the coast. Southeast to northeast winds.Thursday 2 MayIsolated showers in the east, contracting to the coastal fringe during the day.
