MELBOURNE - Apr 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation An upper level feature will move over the State today. A low pressure trough over inland parts will remain slow-moving today as a high pressure ridge becomes established south of the Bight, extending across the southeast of South Australia. The ridge will remain near-stationary for the next few days, with a high becoming established south of Kangaroo Island on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of MondayAreas of rain across the agricultural area north of about Keith and the pastoral districts south of about Woomera to Yunta, contracting north and east and easing during the day. Possible isolated showers about the Lower South East and Kangaroo Island. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Mostly moderate southeasterly winds.Tuesday 30 AprilPatchy light rain over the northern agricultural area and the south of the pastoral districts, contracting east and clearing by early evening. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Wednesday 1 MayIsolated showers about southern coasts. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Thursday 2 MayFine and mostly sunny. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the north with moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday until midnight Thursday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm over the northern agricultural and far southern pastoral regions, and up to 5 mm elsewhere.Friday until SundayFine apart from isolated showers over the agricultural area on Sunday.
