Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough in the far west will extend across the west and far south of the State this evening and the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts on Sunday, then remain over inland parts during Monday. An upper level feature will move over the west of the state during Sunday and over remaining agricultural and southern pastoral areas during Monday. A high pressure ridge will develop over the south on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated light showers about southern coasts and ranges, and developing about the far west coast late evening. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change over the far west coast, extending across the remainder of western and southern coasts this evening.Sunday 28 AprilIsolated showers about southern coasts and ranges extending across the agricultural area. Rain periods developing west of Nullarbor during the early morning extending east during the day to reach central districts by late evening. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north. Moderate northeast to northwest winds ahead of a moderate southwest to southeasterly change across the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts.Monday 29 AprilAreas of rain across the agricultural area north of about Keith and the pastoral districts south of about Woomera to Yunta, contracting east and easing during the day. Possible light showers about the Lower South East and Kangaroo Island. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north. Moderate northeast to northwest winds, ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly change in the west during the morning, reaching the far northeast in the evening.Tuesday 30 AprilPatchy light rain over the agricultural area and the south of the pastoral districts, contracting east and easing during the day. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Wednesday 1 MayPossible patchy early light rain in the east of the Northeast Pastoral district and possible isolated showers about southern and western coasts. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon until midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the south of the pastoral districts, reaching 5 to 10 mm over the agricultural area, with local falls of 10 to 15 mm.Thursday until SaturdayFine at first with possible isolated showers developing in the west during Saturday. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the north with moderate southeast to northeasterly winds turning northerly and freshening in the west ahead of a late southerly change on Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
