MELBOURNE - Apr 26/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front south of the Bight will reach far western Victoria tonight then will cross central and eastern parts of the State on Sunday morning. A ridge of high pressure will extend from the Bight across Victoria Sunday night and will persist over the State on Monday and Tuesday. An upper level trough over the Bight on Monday, will cross Victoria early Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMorning fog patches over the northeast. A dry, mild to warm day with a strengthening north to northwesterly wind. Patchy high cloud increasing over the southwest this afternoon and isolated showers developing over the southwest tonight.Fire Danger - High to very high.Sunday 28 AprilScattered showers developing in the south with isolated showers developing north of the divide. Fresh mild west to northwesterly winds, easing and tending cooler southwesterly.Monday 29 AprilEarly fog patches. Mild and partly cloudy with patchy rain extending to most districts. Light and variable winds.Tuesday 30 AprilPatchy rain contracting east and clearing during the morning, then fine across the north, but isolated showers to follow near the coast.
