MELBOURNE - Apr 26/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over New South Wales will drift eastwards to reach the northern Tasman Sea on Saturday. Another cold front will approach western Victoria on Saturday night before crossing central and eastern parts of the State on Sunday morning. A low pressure trough is expected to cross South Australia to reach Victoria on Monday night, with a low pressure system forming east of Tasmania by late Tuesday. Meanwhile the next high pressure system will move from the Bight towards South Australia on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of FridayFine. Partly cloudy day with light to moderate westerly winds.Saturday 27 AprilMild to warm day with a strengthening north to northwesterly wind and high cloud increasing from the west. Isolated showers developing in the southwest at night.Fire Danger - High to very high.Sunday 28 AprilScattered showers developing in the south in the morning with isolated showers penetrating just north of the divide. Most shower activity clearing during the afternoon. Remaining fine in the far north. Fresh mild west to northwesterly winds, easing and tending cool southwesterly.Monday 29 AprilEarly fog patches. Mild and partly cloudy with patchy rain extending eastwards. Light and variable winds.Tuesday 30 AprilPatchy rain along the northern border. Isolated showers in southern and mountain districts.
