MELBOURNE - Apr 25/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over South Australia will move slowly eastwards be over New South Wales on Friday, and off the east coast of Australia on the weekend. A front will move into the west of the State on Saturday evening, and then move steadily eastwards over southern parts early Sunday, followed by another high pressure system. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayPatchy morning drizzle about southern coasts and ranges. Morning fog over the agricultural area and in the west. Otherwise, isolated showers over the remainder of the southern agricultural area, contracting to the Lower South East this afternoon and evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the far north and west. Light southeast to northeast winds, tending light to moderate west to northwesterly over the agricultural area, freshening in the south.Friday 26 AprilFine apart from morning fog patches over the agricultural area, and possible isolated morning showers in the Lower South East. Mild to warm. Mainly light winds becoming moderate northeast to northwesterly from the west.Saturday 27 AprilFine. A generally warm day tending to hot in the west. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, fresh in the west and near the coasts, ahead of a southwesterly wind change in the far west in the evening.Sunday 28 AprilThe chance of isolated showers over areas south of about Tarcoola to Renmark. Mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds extending over the agricultural area and the west, with chiefly light northerly winds over the remainder. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning through to midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the agricultural area, increasing to 2 to 10 mm about southern coasts and ranges.Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers south of about Tarcoola to Renmark, becoming confined to southern and western coastal areas on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mild days in the south grading to warm to hot in the north.
