Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough is crossing the southern parts of New South Wales today while another trough is weakening over the far northeast. Behind this trough, a high pressure ridge will develop over the state overnight and Wednesday. This ridge is expected to be the dominant synoptic feature over southeastern Australia through the coming week.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers over parts of the southern inland, and the south coast. Fine otherwise. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, freshening about the southern coast.Wednesday 24 AprilEarly fog and frost patches about the southern and central coast and tablelands. Isolated showers about the far north coast, and the southern coast at first. Fine and mostly sunny otherwise. Generally light southeast to southwesterly winds.Thursday 25 AprilEarly frost patches about the tablelands. Isolated showers along the northern half of the coast and adjacent tablelands, most likely along the coastal fringe. Generally light and variable winds.Friday 26 AprilEarly frost patches about the tablelands. Isolated showers along the far north coast. Westerly winds, freshening over the central and southern tablelands during the day.Saturday 27 AprilThe chance of showers on the far north coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Light winds, freshening from the west to northwest in the south and southeast late in the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Wednesday.Product IDN10031
