Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will pass over southern coasts during Wednesday. A high will develop over the west of the State on Wednesday and then move across the State to be over New South Wales later in the week, and off the east coast on the weekend. Another front will move into the west of the State on Saturday evening.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayThe chance of isolated showers over western districts till early evening, and persisting near southern coasts. Cool to mild with light southwest to southeast winds, tending moderate westerly near southern coasts.Wednesday 24 AprilIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area from the south during the day, reaching northern parts in the afternoon. Showers increasing to scattered with the chance of isolated thunderstorms near southern coasts from morning till mid afternoon. Patchy morning fog over the West Coast district and Northwest Pastoral south of Coober Pedy. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending moderate northwest to southwest about southern and western coasts.Thursday 25 AprilPossible isolated light showers over the southern agricultural area, chiefly during the morning. Morning fog over the agricultural area and in the west. A mild to warm day with light southeast to northeast winds, tending light to moderate west to northwesterly over the agricultural area.Friday 26 AprilFine apart from morning fog patches over the agricultural area. Mild to warm. Mainly light winds becoming moderate northeast to northwesterly from the west.Saturday 27 AprilFine. A generally warm day tending to hot in the west. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, freshening in the west and near the coasts, ahead of a southwesterly wind change in the far west in the evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon through to midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the agricultural area, increasing to 2 to 8 mm about southern coasts and ranges.Sunday until TuesdayThe chance of isolated showers over areas south of about Tarcoola to Renmark, contracting to southern coasts on Tuesday. Mostly mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds, tending southwest to southeasterly over the agricultural area.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
