MELBOURNE - Apr 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front/ low pressure trough will cross western and southeastern New South Wales today before weakening over the northeast during Tuesday. Behind this trough, a high pressure ridge will develop over the state by Wednesday. This ridge is expected to be the dominant synoptic feature over southeastern Australia through the coming week. Forecast for the rest of MondayPatchy rain in southern and eastern districts, tending widespread at first about the southern ranges and western slopes but mostly clearing through the day. Partly cloudy in the northwest. Light to moderate northwest to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 23 AprilEarly fog patches about the southern and central coast and tablelands. The chance of showers over parts of the southern inland, and the south coast later. Fine and mostly sunny otherwise. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, freshening about the southern coast.Wednesday 24 AprilEarly fog and frost patches about the southern and central coast and tablelands. The chance of showers about the far north coast, and the southern coast at first. Fine and mostly sunny otherwise. Generally light southeast to southwesterly winds.Thursday 25 AprilEarly frost patches about the southern tablelands. Isolated showers along the northern half of the coast and adjacent tablelands.
