Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move across southern coasts on Monday afternoon, with another passing to the south on Wednesday. A high will then move across the State to be over New South Wales late in the week.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about the agricultural area extending over the far south of the Pastoral districts during the day, increasing to scattered showers and possible thunderstorms for a brief period about southern coasts and ranges in the afternoon and evening. Patchy morning fog about the south of the Northwest Pastoral district and the West Coast district west of Ceduna. Possible isolated thundery showers about the northern border. Moderate northwest to southwest winds, becoming light and variable in the northwest later. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north.Tuesday 23 AprilPossible isolated showers over the agricultural area and southern Pastoral districts, clearing during the day. Patchy morning fog about northern agricultural areas and southern Pastoral districts. Moderate westerly winds in the south, light and variable further north. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north.Wednesday 24 AprilIsolated showers developing about southern coasts with possible showers extending over the remainder of the southern agricultural area. Generally mild to warm with westerly winds in the south, tending southeast to northeasterly in the north.Thursday 25 AprilFine apart from possible isolated showers clearing from southern coasts during the day. Mild to warm. Light to moderate southeast to north east winds across Pastoral areas, and west to northwesterly winds in the south. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning through to midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm about the southern agricultural area, increasing to 10 to 20 mm about southern coasts and ranges. Less than 2 mm elsewhere.Friday until SundayGenerally fine across the State apart from some high cloud in the west bringing possible isolated showers on Friday and Saturday. Isolated showers may develop about southern coasts with the approach of a front late in the weekend. Generally mild to warm, grading to warm to hot in the far north late in the period. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds extending throughout, freshening in the south on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
