Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 21/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Tasmania is moving to the southeast and a ridge over New South Wales is weakening. During Monday a cold front will move across the the state and another ridge will develop behind the front on Tuesday. This ridge will dominant synoptic feature overt the remaining forecast period.
Forecast for the rest of SundayEarly fog and frost patches about the southern and central ranges. Fine and mostly sunny about the coast, apart from the chance of early showers about the coastal fringe. Isolated showers or patchy rain developing in the far west during the afternoon, mainly near the Victorian border, and extending to the central west later. Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds in the west, and southerly winds near the coast. Dangerous surf conditions, easing from the south later.Monday 22 AprilIsolated showers in the southeast districts, scattered at first about the southern ranges and western slopes. Fine in the west. Generally light to moderate westerly winds.Tuesday 23 AprilThe chance of showers over parts of the southern inland, otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Southwest to northwesterly winds.Wednesday 24 AprilThe chance of showers about the far north coast, otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Southeast to southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Sunday.Product IDN10031
