Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 15/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system to the southwest of Perth will move slowly eastwards to be located southwest of the Bight Wednesday night and near Tasmania on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayThe chance of a light shower near the coasts. Isolated showers northeast of about Marree, contracting northeastwards and clearing by late evening. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 16 AprilFine apart from isolated showers about southern coasts to the west of about Victor Harbor. Early fog patches over the West Coast district and Eyre Peninsula. Cool to cold early, then a cool to mild day in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Mainly light southwest to southeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes.Wednesday 17 AprilFine apart from the chance of a light shower in the evening near the Lower South East coast and south coast of Kangaroo Island. Cool to cold early, then a cool to mild day in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 18 AprilIsolated light showers near southern coasts, clearing during the afternoon. Cloudy with possible isolated showers extending the Northwest Pastoral and West Coast districts, over areas northwest of about Ceduna to Woomera. Cool to cold early, then a cool to mild day in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Friday 19 AprilFine. Cool to cold early, then a mild day in the south, grading to warm to hot in the far north and west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon to midnight Friday are expected to be up to 2 mm about southern coasts, and over the Northwest Pastoral and West Coast districts, over areas northwest of about Ceduna to Woomera.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers extending over western parts on Saturday, to be throughout areas south of about Coober Pedy on Sunday, then contracting southwards on Monday. Cool in the south grading to mild to warm in the north. Mainly northerly winds, ahead of a southwesterly change gradually extending from the west during the weekend.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
