Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand extends a weakening ridge to central NSW resulting in generally dry conditions across the state today. A low pressure system well off the southern Queensland coast is expected to deepen and move slowly to the south/southeast. A slow moving trough is expected to affect NSW during the first half of the new week with isolated showers extending across the state from the southwest.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the far northeast, mostly along the coastal fringe early. Isolated showers developing in the south. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning fog areas in the east, particularly the northeast. Light to moderate winds, northwest to southwest inland, and southeast to northeast along the coast. Dangerous surf on the north coast.Monday 15 AprilPatchy rain and the chance of thunderstorms in the south and west, increasing in the southwest. Isolated showers in the far northeast. North to northeast winds in the northeast. South to southwesterly winds remainder.Tuesday 16 AprilScattered showers in the east. Isolated showers over the western slopes, clearing during the afternoon. Northeast winds in the far northeast. South to southwesterly winds remainder.Wednesday 17 AprilPossible showers in the east, more likely along the central coastal fringe.
