Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 12/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge to central NSW. A low pressure system well off the central Queensland coast is expected to move south over the weekend to be well off the northern NSW coast tomorrow morning. The low should then move southeast, towards New Zealand during the early part of next week. The low passage will bring locally heavy rain to far northeastern NSW on Saturday, easing Sunday. A slow moving trough is expected to affect the state during the first half of the next week with showers extending to most districts from the southwest.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayScattered showers in the northeast, increasing to rain areas on the northern coast, heavy at times. Fine elsewhere, mostly sunny from the central coast to the northwest, cloud increasing in the south. Morning fog areas in the east. Northeast to northwesterly winds, tending fresh southeasterly in the northeast, particularly along the coast.Sunday 14 AprilShowers in the northeast, with rain areas on the far north coast at first. Patchy rain developing in the south. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeasterly winds, gusty about the northern coast.Monday 15 AprilPatchy rain in the south and west, increasing in the southwest. Isolated showers along the coastal fringe in the north. Light winds.Tuesday 16 AprilScattered showers in the east. Isolated showers in the west, clearing from the western border. Northeast winds in the northeast.
