Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 11/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high well south of the Bight is moving east and will reach the Tasman Sea late Thursday. A front will move into coastal districts late Saturday, extend across the agricultural area Sunday morning and the south and west of the Pastoral districts by Sunday evening.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine and mostly sunny throughout. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and coastal afternoon sea breezes.Friday 12 AprilFine. Warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and west. Light to moderate northerly winds and afternoon sea breezes.Saturday 13 AprilHigh cloud increasing with possible isolated showers developing about southern coasts during the evening. Mild in the southeast grading to hot in the north and west. Moderate northerly winds, fresh during the morning in the south. Winds turning moderate to fresh southwest about western and southern coasts during the late afternoon and evening.Sunday 14 AprilIsolated showers developing south of Coober Pedy, increasing to patchy rain across northern Eyre Peninsula, the Mid North, Flinders, Riverland and southern parts of the Pastoral districts. Cool in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Light winds in the far northeast. Moderate southerly winds extending over the remainder.Monday 15 AprilPatchy rain over the Flinders, and Pastoral districts east of Coober Pedy, easing and contracting northeast during the day. Isolated possible showers over the remaining parts of the agricultural area and West Coast, contracting to southern coasts by evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday to midnight Monday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm generally over the agricultural area, increasing to 2 to 10 mm over parts of northern Eyre Peninsula, the Flinders and southern parts of the Pastoral districts. Less than 2 mm is expected elsewhere.Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers in the Northeast Pastoral, clearing early on Tuesday. Possible isolated showers about southern and far western coasts, clearing by Thursday. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Friday.Product IDS10033
