MELBOURNE - Apr 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge of high pressure to south of Kangaroo Island. A weak front will move over the Lower South East on Thursday morning. A more significant front will move into coastal districts late Saturday, extend across the agricultural area Sunday morning and the south and west of the Pastoral districts by Sunday evening. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and west with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and coastal sea breezes until evening.Thursday 11 AprilEarly fog patches over the southern agricultural area. Isolated showers in the Lower South East district and the south coast of Kangaroo Island. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and west, with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and coastal afternoon sea breezes.Friday 12 AprilFine apart from early fog patches over the southern agricultural area. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and west. Light and variable winds.Saturday 13 AprilHigh cloud increasing in the south. Possible isolated showers developing about far southern coasts late evening. Mild in the southeast grading to hot in the north and west. Light winds in the north. Moderate northerly winds in the south, turning moderate to fresh southwest about western and southern coasts during the late afternoon and evening.Sunday 14 AprilIsolated showers south of Marree. Cool in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Light winds in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southerly winds extending over the remainder. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday evening to midnight Sunday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural area and less than 2 mm over the south of the Pastoral districts.Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers over the northern agricultural area and Pastoral districts, contracting to north of Marree on Tuesday and clearing by late evening.
