Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 9/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
Showers and isolated thunderstorms will affect the coast and ranges over the next couple of days with the passage of a weak upper level trough. A high pressure system at the surface will produce easterly winds over most of the state through until the end of the week. A low pressure system is expected to move south along the Queensland coast late in the week before moving southeast into the central Tasman Sea over the weekend. This system is expected to increase shower activity and strengthen winds along the NSW north coast.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayShowers along the coast and ranges with isolated thunderstorms. Isolated showers about the western slopes of the northern ranges and over the southern inland otherwise dry and partly cloudy west of the Divide. Light to moderate southeast winds.Wednesday 10 AprilScattered showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges. Isolated showers about the central part of the coast clearing. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning fog areas in the east. Southeast to northeast winds.Thursday 11 AprilIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges and the chance of showers on the far south coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early fog areas in the east. Southeast to northeast winds.Friday 12 AprilIsolated showers along the northern coast and adjacent ranges, tending scattered in the north. The chance of showers on the far south coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 13 AprilScattered showers along the north coast, tending widespread in the north. Isolated showers about the remainder of the northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
