Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 9/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge of high pressure to south of Kangaroo Island. A weak front will move over the Lower South East on Thursday morning. A more significant front will move into coastal districts late Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms over the north of the Flinders and south of the Northeast Pastoral until early evening. Mild in the south, grading to warm in the north and west. Light to moderate south to southeast winds, fresh at times about the coasts and western slopes of the Mount Lofty Ranges.Wednesday 10 AprilFine apart from early fog patches over the agricultural area. Warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and west with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and coastal afternoon sea breezes.Thursday 11 AprilEarly fog patches over the southern agricultural area. Isolated showers in the Lower South East district and the south coast of Kangaroo Island. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and west, with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and coastal afternoon sea breezes.Friday 12 AprilFine apart from early fog patches over the southern agricultural area. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north and west. Light and variable winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon to midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm.Saturday 13 AprilFine, with high cloud increasing in the south. Mild in the southeast grading to hot in the north and west. Light winds in the north. Moderate northerly winds in the south, turning moderate to fresh southwest about western and southern coasts during the late afternoon and evening.Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers south of about Leigh Creek on Sunday, then north of Hawker on Monday and north of Marree on Tuesday. Possible isolated showers about southern and western coasts on Monday, contracting to southern coasts on Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
