Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 7/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system in the Tasman Sea will weaken on Monday. A weak cold front will move into central Victoria overnight and stagnate. A new high centre will then move from Bight waters to pass south of Tasmania on Monday to reach the southern Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A cold front will approach western Victoria late on Wednesday, moving across southern areas of the State on Thursday. Meanwhile the next high pressure system will approach Tasmania late on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly about the ranges and generally clearing in the evening. Light southwesterly winds extending through southern areas and light and variable winds in the remainder.Monday 8 AprilEarly fog patches in the south. Isolated afternoon showers or thunderstorms, mainly over inland areas. A mild to warm day with light to moderate southeast to southerly winds.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Tuesday 9 AprilEarly fog patches in the south. Isolated showers in the east but fine elsewhere. Mild to warm with light easterly winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 10 AprilEarly fog patches in the south. Fine day, mild in the south, warm in the north with light southwest to southerly winds.Thursday 11 AprilIsolated showers extending across southern and mountain districts. Mild in the south, warm in the north, with light to moderate southwesterly winds extending through most districts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Monday.Product IDV10310
