Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system just east of Tasmania will drift slowly eastwards over the weekend. A weak cold front will cross southwestern and central Victoria on Sunday. A new high centre will then move from Bight waters to pass south of Tasmania on Monday to reach the southern Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A low pressure trough will move eastwards across the State on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers about the ranges with isolated thunderstorms possible about the eastern ranges. Light northeasterly winds and weakening coastal seabreezes.Sunday 7 AprilFine apart from isolated morning fog patches in the east and isolated showers and thunderstorms developing near the eastern ranges in the afternoon. Mild to warm with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Fire Danger -  Moderate to high.Monday 8 AprilMorning drizzle patches near the coast and early fog patches in the south. The chance of local afternoon showers or thunderstorms over the central and eastern ranges. A mild to warm day with light to moderate southeast to southerly winds.Tuesday 9 AprilIsolated showers in the east but fine elsewhere. Mild to warm with light easterly winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 10 AprilEarly fog patches in the southwest and isolated morning showers in the far east. Mild in the south, warm in the north with light winds tending moderate southwesterly. Isolated showers developing in the southwest and near the central coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Sunday.Product IDV10310
