Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 5/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system just east of Tasmania will drift slowly eastwards over the weekend. A weak upper level trough will affect eastern Victoria on Saturday. A weak cold front will cross Tasmania on Sunday night then a new high centre will move from Bight waters to pass south of Tasmania on Monday to reach the southern Tasman Sea on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayLocal early fog, mainly over central and eastern districts. Isolated showers developing about the ranges during the afternoon with isolated thunderstorms possible about the eastern ranges. Areas of smoke, mainly in the east. Mild to warm and mostly sunny with light to moderate northeasterly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Fire Danger -  Moderate to high.Sunday 7 AprilFine apart from morning fog patches over central and eastern areas and isolated showers developing near ranges in the afternoon. Mild to warm with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Monday 8 AprilMorning drizzle patches near the coast. The chance of local afternoon showers or thunderstorms over the central and eastern ranges. A mild to warm day with light to moderate southeast to southerly winds.Tuesday 9 AprilIsolated showers in the east but fine elsewhere. Mild to warm with light easterly winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Saturday.Product IDV10310
