Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 31/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough over northeastern New South Wales will move to the Tasman sea this evening as a cold front passes to the south, bringing showers or patchy rain to eastern areas. Behind this, as a high pressure system to the west is extending a ridge over the region. This high is expected to drift slowly across southeast Australia during the coming days, promoting fine conditions inland and restricting precipitation to a few showers near the coast.
Forecast for the rest of SundayRain areas in the far northeast with the chance of thunderstorms. Isolated showers remainder coast and ranges, mostly along the south coast. Fine west of the Divide. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, locally fresh along the coast.Monday 1 AprilIsolated showers coast and adjacent ranges, clearing in the south early, and tending scattered along the central and northern coast. Fine and mostly sunny west of the ranges. Early fog patches about the southeast quarter. Southeast to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 2 AprilPossible isolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges, more likely on the far southern ranges and along the north coast. Fine and sunny inland. Southeast to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 3 AprilIsolated showers in the east, tending scattered along the central and northern coast. Fine remainder. Southeast to southwesterly winds.Thursday 4 AprilIsolated showers in the east, tending scattered along the central and northern coast. Fine remainder.
