Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 31/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over southern Western Australia extends a ridge over South Australia. The high will move slowly eastwards to be centred to the south of the State mid week, reaching Tasmania during Thursday. A weak front will pass over the south of the State on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayPossible isolated showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, contracting to coastal parts by evening. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Monday 1 AprilPossible isolated light showers about the coasts, contracting to southern coasts in the afternoon. Patchy morning fog about the northern agicultural, southern pastoral and flinders districts. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending westerly in the south.Tuesday 2 AprilIsolated showers extending over the southern agricultural area and remaining coasts, contracting to southern coasts later. Patchy morning fog about the northern agicultural, southern pastoral and Flinders districts. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north and west with moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 3 AprilPossible isolated showers near southern coasts, clearing during the morning. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north and west with moderate south to southeasterly winds.Thursday 4 AprilFine. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north and west with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 1 mm over the agricultural area and West Coast district, with isolated falls up to 2 mm near the coasts.Friday until SundayFine apart from possible isolated showers developing northeast of about Leigh Creek on the weekend. Mostly warm days with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
