WASHINGTON - Mar 28/13 - SNS --Growers in the United States intend to plant 12.7 million acres of spring wheat (excluding durum) in 2013, up 3% from 2012, according to the USDA's seeding intentions estimates for 2013.
Of the total, about 12.1 million acres are Hard Red Spring wheat. The largest expected acreage increase from the previous year is in North Dakota.
