Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak cold front embedded in a broad westerly flow will move across southern parts of the State today. A weak high will become established over South Australia on Sunday before moving eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea by Monday night. A trough of low pressure will move over western parts of the State on Wednesday
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers south of about Adelaide contrasting south during the day. Possible isolated showers developing northwest of Coober Pedy. Moderate northwest to southwest winds in the south, tending southeasterly over northern parts of the State. Warm to hot in the north, cool to mild in the south.Sunday 24 MarchIsolated showers northwest of Coober Pedy, possibly extending across the north during the day. Isolated showers about southern coasts with possible isolated showers over remaining parts of the southern agricultural area, all contracting to southern coasts during the day. Moderate southwest to southeast winds. Mild to warm, grading to hot in the north and west.Monday 25 MarchPossible isolated light morning showers about the southern coasts. Isolated showers developing over the Northwest Pastoral district. Mild to warm in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Winds becoming light to moderate northeast to northerly throughout.Tuesday 26 March
Isolated showers over the Northwest Pastoral district and West Coast district west of about Ceduna. Warm to hot with northeast to northwesterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning until midnight Tuesday are expected to be up to 2 mm over southern agricultural areas, increasing to 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts and ranges and 5 to 10 mm over the Northwest Pastoral district.
Wednesday until FridayPatchy rain and a cooler southerly wind change extending across the State during Wednesday and Thursday before contracting to the northeast on Friday, increasing to areas of rain over the agricultural area and southern Pastoral districts. Isolated showers about coastal parts following the rain with winds turning southeasterly late in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
