Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 21/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deep low pressure system just south of Tasmania will move away to the southeast today while a high pressure ridge develops over northern Victoria. The ridge will persist over the weekend while weak cold fronts pass just south of Victoria. A high pressure system will develop just to the east of Victoria on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayA partly cloudy day with isolated showers, mainly in the southwest and about the ranges. A mild day with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds, fresh to strong at first near the coast.Fire Danger -  Moderate to High.Saturday 23 MarchIsolated showers over the southwest and locally in central parts but otherwise dry. Generally mild and partly cloudy with moderate northwesterly winds.Sunday 24 MarchIsolated showers in the southwest becoming scattered near the coast and extending to central areas during the day. Fine elsewhere. A mild partly cloudy day with moderate northwest to westerly winds, fresh about the coast.Monday 25 MarchFine. A warm and mostly sunny day.
