Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 17/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge to New South Wales north coast. This high will move east of Tasmania on Tuesday and then and it will move slowly east maintaining a ridge the north coast. The next frontal system is expected to move through the state during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about the northern half of coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh along the coast at first.Tuesday 19 MarchIsolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent ranges, and the possibility of an early shower or two about the central coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 20 MarchIsolated showers along the northern coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds, freshening locally in the south.Thursday 21 MarchThe chance of early showers in the northeast. Isolated showers developing across the southern inland with rain periods near the Victorian border. Showers extending to the southern coast later. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds, becoming fresh and gusty across the south ahead of a southwesterly change.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDN10031
