Weather Situation Tropical Cyclone Sandra over the central Tasman Sea is expected to weaken and move to the southeast. A high pressure system south of WA extends a ridge across the Bight to the NSW coast. Winds will tend northeast on Saturday before a cold front and strong southerly change extends north late Saturday and Sunday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers along the northern coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland. Dangerous surf conditions north from Sydney.Saturday 16 MarchIsolated showers in the south during the afternoon and evening with isolated thunderstorms in the far southeast. Fine elsewhere. Gusty south to southwesterly winds extending through the west and south.
