MELBOURNE - Mar 14/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation Tropical Cyclone Sandra over the central Tasman Sea is expected to weaken and move to the southeast. A high pressure system south of WA extends a ridge across the Bight to the NSW coast. Winds will tend northeast on Saturday before a cold front and strong southerly change extends north late Saturday and Sunday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, more widespread along central parts of the coast during the morning. Fine elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland. Dangerous surf conditions north from Sydney.Saturday 16 MarchIsolated showers on the south, chiefly during the afternoon. Fine elsewhere. Gusty south to southwesterly winds extending through the west and south. Dangerous surf conditions easing.Sunday 17 MarchIsolated showers in the east. Fine in the west.
