Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is weakening as a trough moves through central New South Wales today. This trough will weaken as it moves to the northeast later on Thursday. A stronger front is expected to affect the state during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms through central and southeastern parts of the state, more widespread along the central coast and ranges later in the day. Fine elsewhere. Mostly southeast to southwesterly winds, fresh along the coast.Friday 15 MarchIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, more widespread along central parts of the coast. Fine elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Saturday 16 MarchIsolated showers on the south and central coasts and the southeastern inland, chiefly during the afternoon. Fine elsewhere. Light and variable winds in the northeast, gusty south to southwesterly winds extending through the remainder.Sunday 17 MarchIsolated showers in the east. Fine in the west. Gusty south to southwest winds in the south and west. Northwest to northeast winds in the northeast ahead of a gusty southerly change.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Thursday.Product IDN10031
