Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system is located over the central Tasman Sea. Another high pressure system will pass to the south of Tasmania tonight before merging with the high over the Tasman Sea on Monday. The next cold front and associated trough will cross waters south of the Bight during Tuesday. The front will pass to the south of Victoria, however the trough will move eastwards across the State on Wednesday. A narrow ridge of high pressure will extend from the Bight towards Victoria on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms, mostly about the eastern ranges. Light winds inland and seabreezes along the coastal fringe easing this evening.Monday 11 MarchDry apart from early fog patches in the south and isolated showers about the eastern ranges during the afternoon. A very warm to hot and mostly sunny day with light winds inland. Seabreezes developing along the coast during the afternoon.Fire Danger -  Generally high to very high.Tuesday 12 MarchDry apart from early fog patches in Gippsland and isolated showers about the eastern ranges during the afternoon. A hot and mainly sunny day with light to moderate north to northeast winds. Local afternoon seabreezes along the Gippsland coast.Wednesday 13 MarchMostly dry. Hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwesterly change extending from the southwest during the day, reaching the far east by early evening. Isolated showers possible in the far southwest and far southeast following the change.Thursday 14 MarchIsolated showers over the south and east but remaining dry over the northern plains. Mild with moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Monday.Product IDV10310
