Weather Situation A high over the Tasman Sea will remain near stationary and a broad trough of low pressure will persist over South Australia through to early next week Forecast for the rest of WednesdayScattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms in the far northeast. Isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over remaining areas east of about Coober Pedy to Streaky Bay and north of about Tumby Bay to Gawler to Renmark. Hot and humid with light to moderate east to northeast winds and local afternoon coastal sea breezes.Thursday 7 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms east of about Ernabella to Fowlers Bay increasing to scattered showers over Eyre Peninsula, the Northwest Pastoral district southeast of Coober Pedy, central districts and the southeast districts. Isolated thunderstorms over Eyre Peninsula and the Northwest Pastoral district southeast of Coober Pedy. Possible showers in the far west. Hot and humid with moderate southeast to northeast winds.Friday 8 MarchIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms south and west of about Marree to Leigh Creek to Renmark, but only possible showers west of about Ernabella to Fowlers Bay. Scattered showers over Eyre Peninsula, the Northwest Pastoral district southeast of about Coober Pedy, central districts and the southeastern coasts. Hot and humid with moderate northeast to southeast winds.Saturday 9 MarchScattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over Eyre Peninsula, the Northwest Pastoral district southeast of about Woomera, central districts and the southeastern coasts with isolated showers over remaining areas, apart from northeast of about Leigh Creek to Renmark and along the western border, all clearing by late evening. Hot and humid with mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Sunday 10 March Fine. Partly cloudy about the coasts, mostly sunny inland. Generally hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and afternoon sea breezes. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon until midnight Sunday are expected to be highly variable due to the convective nature of the atmosphere. It is generally expected that totals will be up to 10 mm, with local fall of 10 to 20 mm possible over Eyre Peninsula, the Northwest Pastoral district southeast of about Coober Pedy and about the ranges. Falls of 20 to 40 mm are possible with heavier showers and thunderstorms. Monday until WednesdayHot to very hot and dry with moderate northeast to northerly winds.
