Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system over the central Tasman Sea is slow moving. A weak cold front will move south of Tasmania tonight. Another high pressure system will move over the Bight late on Thursday before moving to the south of Tasmania on Friday and merging with the Tasman Sea high on Saturday and Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine apart from the chance of isolated showers over the far northwest. Partly cloudy with light northeasterly winds and coastal seabreezes.Thursday 7 MarchMostly dry, although isolated showers possible over the north and west and isolated thunderstorms possible in the west. A warm to hot and partly cloudy day with a light wind and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Fire Danger -  Moderate to high.Friday 8 MarchScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the southwest. Isolated showers about ranges during the afternoon and evening. A warm to hot and partly cloudy day with a light to moderate east to northeasterly wind and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Saturday 9 MarchMorning fog patches in Gippsland. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the southwest. Isolated showers near the ranges during the afternoon and evening. A warm to hot day with a light northeasterly wind and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Sunday 10 MarchMorning fog patches in the south. Isolated showers possible about the ranges during the afternoon and evening.
